Tea & Barista Coffee Training Course - Summary

  • This course gives students an overview of the history of coffee and tea. We also offer hands-on practical experience in making and serving barista quality coffee and a variety of teas

Module #1 Tea and Coffee History - Classroom (45 minutes)

  • History of Tea & Coffee from earliest Cultivation to worldwide domination
  • History of Tea & Coffee in Ireland
  • Growing requirements and different varieties

Module #2  Barista Coffee making and decorating - Food Court (45 minutes)

  • Expert training on how to make a great Coffee in the SOLAS Cafe. Involves the use of our barista coffee machines, coffee tasting and fancy coffee topping designs.

Module #3  Tea tasting, making, mixing and brewing- Food Court (45 minutes)

The tea hands on element gives students the chance to make and taste a large range of herbal teas,traditional practices and how to make tea from plants you can find in your back garden!

Lunch (45 Minutes)

  • Finish with Lunch in the SOLAS Food Court with pizza for students and a choice from menu for school teachers included as part of the course package

  • Group Size: We can cater for group sizes from 25 to 120 (Under 25 by request)
  • Cost: Course costs from €20 per student depending on Group size

Format of the Day

  • See below typical timetable for the running of courses depending on whether students are attending 1 or 2 courses in a single day. Note we are flexible on start and finish times and can start courses from 8.30am onwards to suit bus pickup times.
  • Single Course: Arrive 10:50am, Course 11-1.15pm, Lunch, Depart 2.00pm
  • 2 Courses: Arrive 9am, Course #1 9-11.15am, Lunch, Course #2 12-2.15pm, Depart
