Can I place an order by phone?

  • Orders can only be placed via the website
  • This is to prevent any mix ups with regards to products, qtys etc and it allows customers to review their order online before placing it.

How will I know when an item is back in stock?

  • We are constantly ordering stock & receiving deliveries
  • You can add your email to our ‘back in stock’ mail list on the product page
  • You will then get an email the moment the item is back in stock
  • Note: many of our plants & bulbs are seasonal. For full list of seasonal items please see end of this page

How will my order be delivered?

  • We use Fastway & DPD couriers for our parcel deliveries
  • You can choose which either courier option when checking out online
  • For Seed only orders we use An Post
  • For large Bulk items we use the Pallet network

How can I track my parcel (Fastway)?

  • The moment your parcel leaves our depot you will receive a Freight Dispatch Notification email from Smartfreight
  • Your tracking number(s) / Package Barcodes can be found here
  • They usually start: WY and are followed by 10 digits
  • To track your parcel copy & paste these tracking numbers into www.fastway.ie

How can I track my parcel (DPD)?

  • When you parcel leaves our depot, you will get an email from DPD with your tracking number
  • The morning of your delivery day: Dpd will email you with your tracking details
  • They will also send you a text with 2 hour delivery window

Is it possible to call to your shop?

  • We offer a collection service from our Depot in Portarlington, Co. Laois.
  • You can order online & collect from our depot
  • We have now opened our new eco garden shop & food village
  • Our garden shop & food village is open 7 days a week. 9:30am to 6pm
  • Note: Online collection service is not available from 1pm Saturday or Sundays

Do you deliver at the weekends?

  • Unfortunately not - our courier service operates Monday to Friday
  • The cost of providing a weekend delivery service has proven to be prohibitively expensive

If I pay for express delivery will I definitely get it next day?

  • Express delivery on Any Order Placed Before 4pm will Guarantee that Order will be Shipped the Same
  • Day using fastway couriers next day delivery service. Fastway courier achieve about a 98% success rate at delivering such orders next day

Can I specify what time my order is delivered?

  • No, but sometimes it is worth adding a shipping note to say your preferred time is as this will appear on the outside of the parcel and it assist the courier in fitting your order in his schedule that is convenient for you.
  • Parcels are normally delivered within normal working hours i.e. between 8am to 6pm

Can I change my order?

  • Only if your order has not been packed & or shipped

What are your opening hours?

  • Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm (All year round)
    • Note: We are open during lunch time on weekdays
  • Saturday 9am to 12pm (All year round)

Do you provide a landscaping or mowing services?

  • We do not provide a landscaping or mowing service. We specialise in selling Gardening equipment & supplies online
  • We have a list of recommended landscapers, if you wish please contact us via email & we can recommend someone close to you

Who pays for the shipping fees if I am returning an item?

  • TheGardenShop.ie will ship the replacement goods to the customer for free but the delivery costs back to our warehouse are the customer's responsibility
  • Alternatively, customers can choose to drop the goods back to our depot in person
