- Allium Gladiator is one of the most impressive ornamental alliums, producing huge globe-shaped flower heads packed with hundreds of star-shaped violet-purple flowers. Allium Bulbs (Gladiator) - How to Sow

- Choose a sunny planting location.
- To prepare planting hole:
- Use a garden hand trowel, dibber or bulb planter.
- Depth: Approximately 15cm - 20cm deep.
- Spacing: 20cm - 30cm apart.
- Soil: Fertile, well-drained soil. Improve heavy soils with horticultural grit or sand to prevent waterlogging.
- Plant bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards.
- Cover with soil and firm gently.
- Water lightly after planting.
- Feed with poultry manure or a balanced fertiliser as new growth appears.
- Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to replenish the bulbs for the following season.
- Leave bulbs undisturbed to establish and produce increasingly spectacular displays each year.
