Anemone Bulbs - Uses
- Anemone Bulbs are ideal for the front of sunny borders, cottage gardens and colourful patio pots.
- The mixed jewel-toned flowers are particularly attractive in cottage-style planting and cutting gardens.
- Plant in small groups or relaxed drifts for a bright, natural-looking display.
- The strong stems also make De Caen anemones an excellent choice for cut flowers.
- Combine Anemone Bulbs with tulips, daffodils and other spring flowers for layered seasonal colour.
Anemone Bulbs - How to Sow
- Soak the dry corms in water for 3-4 hours before planting to encourage quicker growth.
- Choose a sunny or lightly shaded position with fertile, well-drained soil.
- Plant corms approximately 5-8cm deep and 8-10cm apart.
- Cover with soil, firm gently and water well after planting.
- Keep the soil lightly moist while plants are actively growing, without allowing it to become waterlogged.
- Allow Anemone Bulbs to finish flowering naturally before removing fading foliage.
