Asparagus Crowns - Planting Instructions
- Sow your asparagus crowns in Spring
- Plant crowns just below soil surface
- Location: Sunny spot, well drained soil
- Asparagus does not like wet conditions
- Depth of crown: Plant so that top of crown is 1" or 4cm below ground level
- Spacing: 45 to 75cm between plants
- Harvest: Do not harvest in the first year - instead allow plant to develop
- To Harvest: Remove the flower stalks as they are seen from June
