Where to Plant
Plant Tulip Triumph Pink in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil. Good drainage is important, particularly during the winter months, as tulip bulbs can suffer in waterlogged ground.
Plant in groups towards the front or middle of borders for a strong block of spring colour. They are also excellent for containers placed on patios, balconies, terraces and near entrances.
How to Plant
Plant tulip bulbs in autumn, with the pointed end facing upwards. As a general guide, plant bulbs around two to three times their own height deep and approximately 10 to 15cm apart.
For containers, use good-quality bulb or multipurpose compost and make sure the container has adequate drainage. Plant bulbs in groups for the best visual effect.
Growing and Care
Water after planting if the soil is dry. During the growing season, water during prolonged dry periods, particularly when tulips are grown in containers.
Once flowering has finished, remove spent flowers if desired but allow the foliage to remain until it has naturally yellowed and died back. The leaves help replenish the bulb's energy reserves for the following season.
Planting Ideas
Use Triumph Pink tulips to create colourful spring borders or combine them with other spring bulbs for a varied display. Pink flowers pair particularly well with white, purple and blue flowering bulbs.
They are also well suited to container planting, where groups of bulbs can provide a concentrated display of spring colour around patios, entrances and seating areas.
