  • Pesticide resistance in glasshouse whitefly & some aphids is widespread
  • Where resistant pests are present, bug killer is unlikely to give control

Bug Killer - Harm to Bees

  • There are two varying arguments here
  • Provanto stand by their product & argue that it is safe & not toxic to bees
  • While Friends of the Earth claim that the active ingredient Thiacloprid can harm bees
  • Thiacloprid is said to disorientate bees
  • In high doses it can kill bees
  • The Garden Shop View: The BUND tests were done at very high doses, far higher than what is found in Provado Ultimate Bug Killer
    • If applied late in the day or early in the morning then this product will have little impact of bees
Works like a charm !
I am thrilled that my plants suffer no more with green aphids. Just wondering how long I should wait to harvest my lettuces after using this.
