Canna Lily - Uses

Canna Lily - How to Sow
- Requires 10 - 15°C to germinate
- Start in a heated greenhouse in March
- Plant out in garden after frost has passed
- Position in a sunny location
- Canna Lilies grow best in free draining soil, high in fertility
- Mulch around the base of plants after sowing
Canna Lily - Overwintering
- Plants need to be stored indoors over Winter
- Lift plants once foliage dies back in Autumn
- Bring indoors in a cool, dry & well ventilated location
- Keep canna bulbs in pots in compost
- In March / April replant bulbs in pots
- Cut away old dead foliage & plant into fresh, rich compost
- Position in a warm spot in your greenhouse & water in well
- Plant out into the garden in late May - Harden off first
- Divide larger roots in Spring & plant as discussed above
