Chard Seeds - Sowing Instructions
- Sow: April to July
- Sowing Location: Outdoors
- Can plant or sow directly outside in late Spring
- Space plants 40cm apart or thin later
- Harvest: July to November
- Give cloche protection from October onwards to encourage winter cropping
- Preferred soil: Will do well in average garden soil
- Prefers pH below 6.5
- Protect against slugs, caterpillars & snails
- Can be harvested for individual leaves or by lifting the entire plant
- Plants left to die back in winter will crop earlier in spring
