Planting Time

Planting Position

- Ensure roots are shaded and cool
- Grow in fertile, moist but well-drained soil
Preparation & Planting
- Dig a hole approx. 45cm deep and mix in compost
- Plant so crown is 5–8cm below soil surface
- Water thoroughly before and after planting
- Provide climbing support from the start
