Sowing Instructions
- Sowing Time: Mid-Spring
- Sowing Location: Indoors in 9cm pots
- Sow seeds thinnly into pots
- Soak soil before sowing seeds
- Lightly cover seeds with potting compost
- Can be sown directly outdoors in early summer
- Germination after 3 weeks
How to Transplant
- Transplant out into the garden in late May
- Coriander will die in the frost
- Avoid planting out any earlier
- Harden off before transplanting to outdoors location
- Prefers full sun, keep moist
- Soil: Well drained and fertile, slightly alkaline
- Prefers a sunny location with space to spread
Crop Maintenance
- Keep moist & weed free
- Feed monthly
- Coriander bolts very easily
- To prevent bolting:
- Keep moist
- Keep partically shaded
- Harvest often
- Remove flowering buds before they form
- Replace plants every year as they usually grow poorly in second year
How to Harvest
- Harvest: Roughly 50 days after sowing
- Harvest before plant goes to seed
- Remove foliage to harvest
