Cowslip Seeds - Sowing Instructions

  • Sow seeds in Autumn
  • Can be placed in a cold frame & over-wintered
  • Or sow in June / July
  • Sow indoors, cover with vermiculite - seeds benefit from a little light to germinate
  • Keep seeds covered until germination - this can take 3 - 4 weeks
  • Deadhead to encourage flowering

  • Hardy cowslips are suited to most conditions
  • Happy in a sunny spot or partial shade
  • Exposed or sheltered spots
  • These easy to grow plants are great in a low maintenance garden
