White Dahlia Bulbs - How to Grow
- Choose a location for your Dahlias
- Position in full sun or partial shade
- Sowing time: Plant in Spring, between Feb & May
- Ideally, soak the bulbs in water just before planting
- Sowing depth: Depth = 3 times to size of the bulb
- Sow with pointed end pointing upwards
- Cover with soil & water in well
- Feed when foliage appears
- Feed with nitrogen based fertiliser first
- Then, from July on feed with potassium based fertiliser
- When foliage dies & turns yellow, cut back the foliage
- Remember to lift & store your Dahlia bulbs over the Winter months
- Before the frost comes
- Lift bulbs & clean off soil
- Store bulbs in a warm, ventilated location
