Dahlia Flower Bulbs - How to Grow
- Choose a location for your dahlias
- Position in full sun or partial shade
- Provide shelter in windy sites
- Sowing time: Plant in Spring, between Feb & May
- Depth of sowing = 3 times to size of the bulb
- Plant Dahlias with pointed end pointing upwards
- Cover with soil & water in well
- Feed when foliage appears
- Stake plants once flowering
- When foliage dies & turns yellow - cut back the foliage
- Remember to lift & store your Dahlia bulbs over the Winter months
- Before the frost comes
- Important to lift bulbs & clean off soil
- Store bulbs in a warm, ventilated location
- Replant in spring
