Dianthus Seeds - Sowing Instructions

  • Sow anytime of the year
  • Ideally sow in early Spring
  • Sow in pots or seed trays with sandy compost
  • Light cover with vermiculite, then soak compost
  • Keep compost moist until germination
  • Can take 12 weeks to germinate
  • If seeds fail to germinate - place trays in fridge for 3 weeks to stimulate seeds out of dormancy
