Dianthus Seeds - Sowing Instructions
- Sow anytime of the year
- Ideally sow in early Spring
- Sow in pots or seed trays with sandy compost
- Light cover with vermiculite, then soak compost
- Keep compost moist until germination
- Can take 12 weeks to germinate
- If seeds fail to germinate - place trays in fridge for 3 weeks to stimulate seeds out of dormancy

- Position in cracks in walls, in alpine gardens or amongst gravel & rocks
- Native but rare in Ireland & UK
- Prefers sandy & well drained or gritty soil
