Lily Bulbs - How to Sow
- Note on Lily bulbs: Lilies like their feet in the shade & head in the sun
- If you can, try to start your bulbs indoors in early Spring
- When sowing outside, sow approx. 6 inches deep into rich compost
- Best sowing time is from late Feb to April
- Plant with pointed end pointing upwards
- Cover with soil & water in well
- Move out into the garden in early Summer
- Feed when foliage appears
- When foliage dies & turns yellow, cut back the foliage
- Divide bulb clumps every 4 to 5 years
