- Deciduous, with ovate green leaves that shed in autumn
- Produces grey catkins with yellow anthers in early spring, before leaves
- Mature Size: 1.5–2.5 m tall × 1–2.5 m wide

Planting Time

- Prefers fertile, moist but well-drained soils of any type (acidic–alkaline)
- Plant so the rootball is level with soil surface; compact soil firmly
After Care
- Soak pot before planting (~10 minutes), then water again after planting
- Keep free from weeds; feed annually in spring
- Avoid strimming near the trunk
