Echinacea Roots - How to Grow

  • Start your bulbs indoors, in a greenhouse or polytunnel
  • Grow in large pots (5L or bigger)
  • Once shoots are 10cm in height you can move out into the garden
  • Choose a location for your Echinacea
  • They prefer a sunny, sheltered spot
  • Soil: Moist but well drained
  • Sowing time: Spring
  • Sowing depth: Plant bulb 10cm below the soil surface
  • Plant with compost
  • Then cover with soil & water in well
  • Feed every 2 to 3 weeks
  • Can lift & divide in Autumn or Spring
  • Old flower heads can be removed in Spring
