Planting Time
- Best grown indoors or in a warm, sheltered position where temperatures can be maintained above freezing.
- Choose a bright position with plenty of indirect or filtered light.
- If repotting, use a free-draining cactus or succulent compost and a container with adequate drainage.
- Do not allow the plant to sit in water.
After Care
- Reduce watering during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.
- Feed lightly during the growing season with a suitable cactus or succulent fertiliser.
- Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage balanced growth.
- Protect from cold temperatures and frost.
- Take care when handling as Euphorbia sap can cause skin and eye irritation. Wear gloves and avoid contact with the milky sap.
- Keep away from children and pets and seek medical advice if the sap is swallowed or causes a significant reaction.
