Flower Bulbs - How to Grow
- It is best to start your bulbs indoors, in a greenhouse or polytunnel
- Grow in large pots (5L or bigger)
- Once shoots are 10cm in height you can move out into the garden
- All the varieties prefer full sun
- When to sow bulbs: Spring, Plant as soon as bulbs arrive
- Sowing depth: Depth = 3 times to size of the bulb
- Divide bulb clumps every 4 to 5 years
- May need to be covered in very frosty conditions
- Otherwise little or no maintenance required
- All varieties are hardy & do not need to be lifted each Winter
