Terrarium Workshop - Aim of Workshop
- This Class is part of 2024 SOLAS Garden Festival
- Learn how to create, plant & care for your own terrarium
- You get to make and take home a terrarium at the end of the class
- When: Sunday 3rd March
- Duration: 1.5hrs
- Time: 12 - 1.30pm
- Note: All courses, activities & workshops must be booked online in advance
- Cancellations must be made 48hrs before the event
Terrarium Workshop - Course Content
- Overview of the different types of terrariums (open vs. closed) and container options
- Materials and Tools: Discussion of the essential materials needed, including containers, soil, gravel, & plant.
- Plant Selection: Whats the best plants!
- Tips on where to source healthy terrarium plants
- Layering and Setup: Step-by-step guide
- Demonstrations on creating suitable habitats for the selected plants.
- Planting Techniques: Hands-on planting of chosen plants inside the terrarium
- Maintenance and Care: Discussion on watering frequency, light requirements, and common issues like overwatering or pests
- Tips for troubleshooting !
