- Create your own hedgehog highway
- Hedgehogs are nocturnal & can travel 1 mile per night in the hunt for food
- With all the housing construction their travel plans have been interrupted
- Garden fencing prevents hedgehogs from traveling in search of food
- This is where the hedgehog tunnel comes in
- Cut a hole approx. the diameter of a CD in the bottom of the fence
- Fix your hedgehog tunnel over the hole
- Talk to your neighbours about doing the same to extend the area hedgehog can travel
- This will allow hedgehogs to wander in & out & to forage for food
- Hedgehog numbers have been on the decline in recent years
