Lawn Edger - How to use

Position the blade along the borderline that you wish to achieve
With your foot on the footplate, push down with your heel, forcing the blade into the ground
Now push down with your toes forcing the front end of the blade into the ground
Lift edger using handle & continue the process along your lawn edge
Your body weight will do all the work, while the rocking motion will allow you achieve your desired results fast

Found item easy to assemble.
Very easy to use and gives a good straight line. Would recommend this item and doesn't require too much pressure to edge.
Watching the online video before use was very helpful.

Could be better.
- Poor quality steel (already showed rust on the blade when it arrived).
- Foot plate obstructs the view of the blade making it difficult to cut a straight line.
- shaft is too short meaning if you are 6ft or more you will be always stooped when using it.
- shaft is split and is joined half way up with a spring button which is not very secure/rigid.
- uses regular nuts instead of lock nuts on the blade which loosen without adding threadlocker.

1. The assembly instructions should have indicated that the handle is intended to swivel relative to the footplate. I spent some time trying to stop this happening!
2. The edger works fine, but it is hard to keep it in line. A black line painted on the top would help - I have done this to mine already.
[STAFF NOTE] Thanks for the feedback and hopefully your observations & tips will help future buyers of this edger. That is not a bad idea about marking a line on the top and the swivel action you mention is how it actually works, hence the name 'rock on'
