Crocosmia Bulbs (Montbretia) - How to Sow
- It is always best to start your bulbs indoors, in a greenhouse or polytunnel
- Grow in large pots (5L or bigger)
- Once shoots are 10cm in height you can move out into the garden
- Choose a sunny location
- Prepare soil before planting. Loosen soil & add farm yard manure
- Depth: Sow each bulb 3 times their size in depth
- Plant with pointed end pointing upwards
- Spacing: 30-60cm apart
- Cover with soil & water well
- Divide clumps every 3 years to encourage better flowering
