Muscari Bulbs - Uses
- Low-growing Muscari Bulbs are ideal for borders, rockeries, woodland-style planting and containers.
- The dense violet-blue spikes make an excellent edging plant and naturalise readily in suitable ground.
- Plant beneath deciduous shrubs or mix through beds to create ribbons of blue spring colour.
- They combine especially well with dwarf daffodils, tulips, crocuses and early iris.
- Allow Muscari Bulbs to naturalise in groups for a stronger display each spring.
Muscari Bulbs - How to Sow
- Choose a position in full sun or partial shade with moderately fertile, well-drained soil.
- Plant Muscari bulbs approximately 8-10cm deep and around 8cm apart.
- Set bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards, cover with soil and water well.
- For the best effect, plant several bulbs together in groups or short drifts.
- Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
- Divide established clumps of Muscari Bulbs every few years if they become overcrowded.
