Outdoor Garden Tap Kit - Tools Required
- 5mm, 16mm Masonry Drill Bit
- Stanley Blade / Utility Knife
- Screwdrivers
- Adjustable Spanner / Wrench
Installation (Connecting the Internal Self Cutting Tap)
- Clean internal main supply pipe where it is to be cut
- Unscrew clamp & fit around internal mains supply
- Ensure the black rubber seal is in place & that the angle of the clamp allows for the tap to be fitted
- Fit the clamp in place
- Ensure tap is closed & begin screwing the tap into the clamp
- Take great care & screw tap slowly until it has pierced the supply mains pipe
- Position tap vertically & secure using locknut
Installation (Connecting the Outdoor Tap)
- Connect supply hose to internal self cutting tap
- Using 16mm masonry drill bit, drill a hole just below tap position
- Feed supply hose through the hole. Cut to required length
- Slide jubilee clip over the hose & connect the hose end to the wall mounted connetcor
- Position wall mounted connector against the wall & mark drill points
- Using a 5mm masonry drill bit, drill 3 holes, insert wall plugs & fit wall mounted connector in place
- Wrap plumber's tape around the threaded tap & screw tap onto the wall mounted connector
