This non-invasive, fast-growing deciduous tree is prized for its exceptional growth rate, large foliage, and beautiful springtime display. A refined cultivar of the foxglove tree, Paulownia elongata 'Futuro' is ideal for sustainable planting schemes, offering regenerative growth from the base if cut back annually. From the 4th year in each spring, it produces eye-catching, bell-shaped lavender-blue flowers with a delicate fragrance that attracts bees and other pollinators.
Exceptionally fast-growing deciduous tree with a unique ability to absorb up to five times more CO2 than typical typical trees.
With careful pruning, it can also be maintained as a compact ornamental tree, perfect for contemporary landscapes or wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
