Peony Bulbs - How to Grow
- Peonies die back each Autumn & return again each Spring
- Choose a location
- Happy in full sun or partial shade
- Tall peony so best in a sheltered spot
- Deep, fertile soil that is well draining
- Sowing time: Best when sown in Autumn or early Spring
- Sowing depth: Plant bulbs so that they are just at the soil surface
- Then cover with soil & water in
- Mulch up in Spring
- Feed every 2 to 3 weeks
- Deadhead after flowering
- Watch out for fungal diseases in Spring
- Prune away any infected foliage to prevent spread
- Clumps of bulbs can be lifted & divided in Spring
