Super Phosphate - Uses
- This is a straight phosphorous based fertiliser
- Phosphorous is essential for plant growth
- Root development
- Seedling growth
- Cell division in young plants
- Ideal for encouraging rooting in bare-root hedging
- Add to soil mixes to promote rooting for soft & hardwood cuttings
- Promotes longer roots on root crops such as carrots & parsnip
- Promote growth in young seedlings & transplants for better establishment

- Does not contain nitrogen, therefore will promote root development without also leading to unnecessary vegetative growth

Super Phosphate - Application
- Apply to soil mix before planting
- Add 100g/m2 evenly over surface of beds or vegetable plot
- 100g is roughly equal to three handfuls
- To existing plants, apply 35g to soil surface around plants & rake in
- Repeat twice over the growing season
- Soil mix for hanging baskets or cuttings
- For every 5 litres of soil mix, add 15 grams of super phosphate
