Porous Hose - Positioning
- You can make narrow drills 3 - 6" deep and place the hoses in the drills – this gives a neater finish & prolongs hose life
- You can lay the porous hose over the weed membrane (but under a layer of bark mulch)
- This allows you to access & move the porous hose as required
Porous Hose - Tips
- To prolong the life of your porous hose you should
- Protect from strong sunlight - bury hose under mulch
- Ideally bury to a depth of 30 - 40cm
- Keep porous hose protected from frost - bring indoors in the Winter months
- Also note that if your water source is heavy in lime, you should either use an in-line filter on the hose or better again, only use water that has gone through a water softener to help prevent clogging of hose pipe
