- Habit: Clump forming
- Clumps of glossy green, linear leaves
- Foliage turns yellow in autumn
- Flowers: Narrow, fluffy, purple-tinged plume-like sprays
- Late Summer and early Autumn flowering
- Flower heads persists into the Winter
- Final Height: 100cm
- Spread: 100cm
- Only half hardy to -5°C
Potted Calamagrostis Grass - Planting Instructions
- Prepare bed by digging over soil & add some fertilizer or manure
- Soak pot for about 3 minutes before planting
- Dig hole roughly twice the size of the plant pot
- Handle pots with care
- Squeeze side of pots to remove plant
- Plant grass so that the root ball top is level with existing soil level
- Firm in well
- Soak soil well after planting
- Protect from frost in Winter
- In Spring, clear away old / dead foliage & flower heads
