Primrose Seeds - Sowing Instructions
- Sow: Early May to Late July
- Start in seed trays, spacing seed 1" apart. Grow in John Innes compost
- Don't cover seeds - they require light to germinate
- Place in a cool, shaded area (16°C)
- Germination can take 2 to 3 weeks
- Transplant into larger 9cm pots once they develop their first true leaves
- Harden off before planting out in the garden
- Divide clumps every 2 - 3 years

- All primroses like full sun or partial shade
- Good, fertile soil, high in organic matter is recommended
- Avoid soil that is too dry. Happy in damp soils
- Ideal for bedding plants
- Great for adding colour to pots & baskets

- Plant with other bedding plants such as petunia, pansies, iberis, aubretia & heucheras
