Rhubarb Plants - Planting Instructions
- Water pot before planting
- Prepare hole for each plant
- Spacing: 60 - 90cm
- Can be planted any time of year
- Location: Prefers a sunny spot with well drained soil
- Can do well in shade also
- Add well rotted manure at time of planting
- Harvest: Do not harvest in the first year - instead allow plant to develop
- To Harvest: Remove the flower stalks as they are seen from April to June
- Note: Do not eat the foliage / leaves
- Also a good idea to plant in raised beds to protect against rotting of the crowns
