Bought this long handled sickle and have been using it for a month or so. I waited before leaving a review as I wanted to fully put it to the test. I have about an acre and a half of unkempt, wild, neglected land and I've spent a long time wondering how I was going to clear it. I've thrown everything at this sickle...long grass, tough weeds, woody rushes, thick, stubborn brambles the lot and this sickle has dealt with them all admirably. It's a light tool so not too tiring to use but don't let it's weight fool you, its razor sharp, curved blade is very, very efficient. Another plus is when I have cut a huge pile of brush, long grass etc I have found that I can hook the sickle into the pile and effectively roll it to a location of my choosing. This is, in my experience, an extremely effective tool for the job.

This item is very practical, it arrived on due time and almost sung to me when it was withdrawn from the package. It is very nifty and can make short work of brambles and briar over growth. although it has come to a few snags with more thicker growth like established ivy clusters and is not suited for constant use if you are removing growth from the ground as its handle is slightly short for the demand of the work its intended for, other then that it is quite fun and practically suited for the majority of unsightly overgrown under maintained areas that need to be tidied up. Also would certainly repurchase this item if it was in a larger size.
