Snowdrop Bulbs - How to Sow

- Choose a partially shaded or lightly sunny planting location.
- To prepare planting hole:
- Use a garden hand trowel, dibber or bulb planter.
- Depth: Approximately 7cm - 10cm deep.
- Spacing: 5cm - 8cm apart.
- Soil: Moist, fertile and well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. Improve heavy soils with grit if required.
- Plant bulbs with the pointed end facing upwards.
- Cover with soil and firm gently.
- Water after planting if conditions are dry.
- Feed with a balanced fertiliser or poultry manure once foliage begins to emerge.
- Allow foliage to die back naturally after flowering to strengthen the bulbs for the following season.
- Leave bulbs undisturbed to naturalise and multiply over time.
