Caring for Strawberry Plants
- Watering is very important especially if you're growing in hanging baskets
- Soil should be moist but not soaking
- Feed regularly
- A tomato feed is suitable or some type of potassium based fertiliser
- Mulch plants with hay or clean straw
- Cover crops early with anti bird netting
- Remove runners as they develop to focus energy on main plant
- As Winter nears, cover plants with a layer of mulch to protect over Winter
- Remove mulch away from plants in Spring
