Swedish Torches - How to Make One?
- Sometimes called the Canadian candle
- Dates back to the 30 years War of 1618
- It is basically a camp fire from a single log
- Requires a chainsaw to cut angled slits through a log
- Makes slits about ¾ the way through the log

- Pour a small amount of paraffin down into the centre of the log
- Then carefully ignite
- Ideal log size
- Approx. 1ft in diameter & 2ft in height
Note: Fire should be placed a safe distance of 2m from fixed structures
