Sweet Pea Seeds - Sowing Instructions
- Sow from late March to May
- Or sow in Autumn, September to October
- Ideally soak seeds before sowing
- Seeds that don't swell during the soaking period should be nicked with a small file to enable them to take up water
- Start in pots & transplant out into the garden
- Choose an open, sunny location
- Position towards the back of borders
- Or close to a wall, fence to allow sweet pea to be trained upwards
- You can also provide supports with bamboo canes or obelisks
- Spacing: 60-80cm apart
- Will require support as they grow
