Camassia Quamash Orion - Uses
- This unique and beautiful flower will really stand out in your garden
- Plant bulbs in a number of ways
- Block planting or in large groups or clumps is best
- Also works well when planted in long drifts through borders
- Works well when planted in formal beds with box hedging
- Place along paths and frame house or drive entrance
- Plant in containers and wooden barrels
- Companion plants include: other Camassias, white flowering plants, lime green Ferns and alchemila mollis
- Or plant with silver / white foliage such as: Artemisia, stachys byzantina and senecio

- Choose planting location
- Prepare planting hole
- Use a trowel or bulb planter
- Sow bulbs approx 15cm deep
- Space bulbs 8cm to 10cm apart
- If soil is not well draining then add a small amount of sand to base of hole
- Fill in hole with soil
- Water well
- Feed once foliage appears
- Cut back foliage once flowering has passed and leaves have wilted
- Lift, clean, dry and store bulbs
