Aim of Course

  • Learn all about growing Winter vegetables in Ireland
  • The aim of this course is to help with the production of homegrown vegetables
  • To address the common problems that can occur in the garden and to provide solutions to these issues
  • To teach the benefits of organically grown as opposed to non-organically grown food
  • To explain the importance of what kind of soil is used and how to prepare the soil before seeding
  • Growing is great for reducing stress levels and this will be seen during this course

  • Introduction
  • Going through what we will be sowing
  • Setting up the workstation
  • Getting tools and seeds ready for planting
  • Planting the seeds such as Ruby Chard, Corn Salad, Winter Lettuce, Kale, Leaf Beat (Spinach)
  • Understanding the watering of the seeds
  • How and when is best for watering salads
  • Question time

  • Our expert staff will be on hand to give support & answer questions throughout the workshop
