Ginger Roots - Planting Instructions
- Can start in large 10 litre pots in Feb / March
- Pots can be moved outside in Summer months
- Grow in a heated greenhouse with good humidity
- Prefers a humus rich, fertile soil
- Likes soil with good water retention
- When sowing, position ginger roots just below soil surface
- Spacing: 90cm between plants
- Mulch up around plants to prevent weeds
- Allow 4 to 5 months before harvesting
- Only remove a small amount of ginger at any time
