Agapanthus Roots - How to Grow
- Best to start your bulbs indoors, in a greenhouse or polytunnel
- Grow in large pots (5L or bigger)
- Once shoots are 10cm in height you can move out into the garden
- Choose a location for your Agapanthus
- They prefer a sunny, sheltered spot
- Soil: Moist but well drained
- Sowing time: Spring
- Sowing depth: Plant roots 10cm below the soil surface
- Plant with compost
- Then cover with soil & water in well
- Feed every 2 to 3 weeks
- Can lift & divide in Spring
- May require protection in harsh winters - cover with mulch
