Arrived very quickly. Sturdy well made tool.
I prefer wood and steel tools. Easier to repair and maintain compared to those with plastic parts.
Although I haven't used it yet this seems foolproof.
The soil from the first bulb planted us pushed out by the second planting. Simple.

The planter arrived promptly. Good service from the seller. The planter itself is sturdy but works best in softer ground with less stones

Excellent tool. I planted nearly 250 bulbs in mown and unmown grass in less than 2 hours. Essential if you buy large packs of bulbs. Its easy digging the holes when you have the whole of your weight to use and the core from the previous hole pops out when you use it so all you do is drop the bulb in the hole, drop the core on top and press it down with your foot. Job done. Ok, you have to bend down to drop in the bulb but this is so much easier, faster and more comfortable than with a hand held planter.
However, you do need to wear thick soled shoes to use it as the extension for your foot is a little too thin for comfort; a flatter, broader extension bar would be better. Dont try using it in wellies or old trainers - I did and its painful - but good quality work shoes were fine.

For the price, this is a nice, sturdy little thing. I haven't used it yet (preparing the areas) but I've looked online and it should be one of the best. It feels nice in the hand, too. The only downside is the deliver. It was unprotected, sticking out of a larger box, so it was scraped and scuffed when it arrived, with a slight gouge in the upper handle. For the price though, I think this will save a lot of the extra bending when it comes to getting the bulbs in.
