Robin Nesting Box - Uses
- Position on a wall or tree in your garden to provide shelter for robins
- Also suitable for blue tits, sparrows, wrens & wagtails
- Can be used with our nest box camera
Robin Nesting Box - Where to Position
- Find a sheltered spot
- Position nest box before nesting season begins (1st March to 31st August)
- Ensure nest box is positioned up high & away from predators (minimum of 2m off ground level)
- Position near fruiting & berry trees
- Avoid putting boxes too close to each other
- Nesting boxes are usually set up in Spring
- It may take some time before a bird moves in but be patient
- If after 2 years they remain vacant then you should consider moving to another location
- Don't position nesting boxes & bird houses on feeding stations
